Tai Chi: Moving for Better Balance is a FREE group program offered by the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department, Office on Minority Health and the 60+ Program. The one-hour classes use slow, flowing movements designed to help improve balance and coordination, reduce and prevent falls, improve blood pressure and reduce stress. Program Objectives: To improve strength, balance, mobility and daily functioning, and prevent falls in older adults and individuals with balance concerns.
Intended Target Population: The primary focus is on older adults and others with a history of falls, balance concerns, leg muscle weakness, or walking difficulty.
