E-Mail Prescription Refill Requests
Prescription refills may also be requested via e-mail.
E-mailed requests will usually be completed within 3 working days. You will receive a return e-mail when your prescription refill has been completed.
Prescriptions may be picked up at the Toledo-Lucas County Pharmacy located at 635 N. Erie Street, Toledo, OH. All e-mailed prescription requests must be picked up within 10 working days from the date you are notified they are ready.
Public Availability of naloxone
Naloxone is a medication that can reverse an overdose that is caused by an opioid drug (prescription pain medication or heroin). When administered, the naloxone blocks the effects of opioids on the brain and restores breathing within two to eight minutes. It is not a narcotic, and is not addictive. The Health Department will dispense the kits and provide a mandatory training on how to use it.
Naloxone will be available to those in need, regardless of ability to pay. All health insurances can be billed, but will not limit those without coverage. For additional information, please call the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department’s Pharmacy at 419-213-4026.
Hours of naloxone dispensing at the Health Department are as follows:
Monday-Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
*Pharmacy services are for Health Center patients only.
**The Health Department will not turn away any patient based upon ability to pay. All fees are billed according to a sliding fee scale.**
