The Toledo-Lucas County Health Department is planning its 2nd Annual Drive the Lead Out Golf Outing, to be held on September 10, 2016 at Heather Downs County Club. Last year, the event raised over $5000.00 and has been directly invested back into the community.
Drive the Lead Out Golf Outing promotes awareness about the dangers of childhood lead poisoning in Lucas County. Lead poisoning can affect the entire body and cause irreparable damage. Toledo ranks second in the state for lead poisoning cases and our goal is to keep reducing the number of children being affected.
